Mytholmroyd Flower Festival
Posted 30th August, 2004
This year's Flower Festival held at St Michael's Church attracted a record number of visitors again over 3 days. The flowers inside the church were stunning and the perfume on entering the church breath-taking. Throughout the 3 day event afternoon tea was available in the schoolroom with a mouth-watering array of home made sandwiches, salads, cakes and trifle. A feast for the eye and a feast for the appetite.
Two photos are posted here from the many taken, above, "Noah's Ark" - by Cathererine Allison and The Sunday School and, below, "The Summer Book" by Hilary Shackleton. Space does not permit inclusion of all of the 75 entries. These were chosen at random.
Many people must have contributed hours of work to the event and a big "Thank you" is extended to them all.
